Our Story
The Belly, Baby, & Beyond Expo began in 2011, founded by Aileen Hunt of Fit Together Winnipeg. What started as a small gathering of pregnancy and baby-focused businesses has since grown into a cherished community event for growing families across Winnipeg. Designed to connect families with local services, small businesses, and handmade vendors, and resources, the expo quickly became a go-to destination for expectant parents and caregivers seeking support, connection, and trusted professionals.
As a former and current exhibitor myself, I experienced firsthand the sense of community this event fosters — and it’s that same spirit we continue to grow with each expo we host.
After years of attending as an exhibitor and experiencing the incredible impact of this event firsthand, I was honoured to take over as the host of the Belly, Baby, & Beyond Expo. As a mother of six and a passionate advocate for building strong, local family communities, I know how valuable it is to find the right support — especially during the transformative stages of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.
My background in both business and photography has given me a unique perspective on the power of connection — between families and the professionals who support them, and between small businesses and the communities they serve. My goal in continuing the legacy of this beloved event is to ensure it remains a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space for families and women-led businesses to grow, connect, and thrive together.

What to Expect
Now in its second decade, the Belly, Baby, & Beyond Expo continues to bring together a carefully curated lineup of prenatal, postnatal, and early childhood experts, makers, and family-focused businesses. From doulas and photographers to handmade baby goods and health professionals, the event offers families a unique opportunity to explore local offerings in a supportive, joyful space.
Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating the early days of parenting, or simply looking for inspiration and community, our event welcomes you with open arms — and often, a few adorable baby giggles.
Two events: One Purpose - Serving the Community
We now host two events each year, each with its own seasonal charm and tailored focus:
Spring Expo (around Mother’s Day): A more intimate event centered on pregnancy and the first year of baby’s life. This quiet, nurturing environment is perfect for expecting parents and new families looking for meaningful support and gentle guidance.
Fall Expo (around Halloween): A lively, festive expo with a broader range of exhibitors and family-friendly Halloween activities, perfect for families with toddlers and young children.
